The Pious Tomb of Abdullah Shah Ghazi


                     The mausoleum of Abdullah Shah Ghazi is situated at perched on the hill peak overlooking Clifton Beach, Karachi. The tomb is established on a very high stage with a grave being deployed downstairs. The mausoleum has a large and square chamber with having green-white striped dome, adorned with Sindhi tilework flags. The tomb of Abdullah Shah Ghazi persuades a steady flow of devotees who shuffle ahead to stroke the silver railing along the burial monument and wrap it with the garlands of plants and flowers .Syed Abdullah Shah Ghazi was a 9th century Sufi saint who claimed straight descent from the Prophet and is considered of by his devotees as something like the Karachi’s patron saint. Individuals, most of them Muslims, visit this place to pay homage to him from all parts of the country.
                                 At Karachi atop a hill, he was buried, where his remnants remain. In early 1950s, the tomb was small hut in size on the altitude of a sandy hill deployed in Clifton. The mausoleum was established, extended and ornamented in the period of mid-1960s as it had initiated to persuade the committed attention. The mausoleum expansion and pilgrims persuaded the festivities and music Qawaali. Karachi municipal government initiated in 2005 an immersive reconstruction, renovating work and cleaning up on the tomb which was ended in 2007. On October 7, 2010, the dual dreadful suicide blasts at the tomb killed ten persons and fifty injured. The extremist forces Salafi/Wahabi were doubted, provided their opposition to Sufism and negative remarks to the devotion of tombs.
